Frequently Asked Questions

We know navigating aged care and support services can feel overwhelming. To make things easier, we’ve put together answers to some of the most common questions about our fees, the Support at Home program, and how to make a referral.

OT Support at Home is transparent about our fees, which are charged in line with the current Support at Home Fees guidelines.

From November 2025, the OT fees are listed as a unit price for face time only. The unit price calculation considers factors causing variation in the cost of service deliver such as mode of service, location and complexity. We attempt to accurately estimate the time it will take our clinicians to support client needs and address goals. Occupational Therapists commonly engage in direct clinical care along with indirect clinical care.

Direct clinical care is the face time and phone call time we spend with you.

Indirect clinical care includes:

  • Travel time to and from your home and equipment suppliers
  • Administration time associated with delivering solutions to support you to remain living at home
  • Report writing
  • Product research
  • Liaison with others
  • Home modification diagrams
  • Other casework as required

We ensure every service is accessible and fair, aligning with government-funded programs to support your care journey. Please call us if you have questions about costs or funding.
